We took Izzy to the
pedi today, she was due a vaccine and needed her TB test, this visit was also to discuss her speech. Izzy babbles all day long but doesn't say many "English" words. Right now vocabulary wise she is on the level of a 15 month old. Her
pedi just advised us to step up the reading to her at least 3 times a day and go over her body parts everyday until she will start saying those as well. Her Dr. said that he doesn't want to use outside help, like Early Intervention or a hearing test until she is two. He also said he thinks her hearing is fine because of how vocal she is in her own language. I am really glad that we got to talk to him about it because its something that has really been bothering me, I feel better about it now and will take his advise and see what happens. She now weighs 24.4 pounds and is 32 1/4 inches long! Her weight is a little below average but nothing to worry about, her height is normal and her head circumference is 19 inches, which is a little big but again he said it wasn't anything to worry about and that she would grow into it! He also said she probably got her head from me!
LOLShe is still working on her 15
th and 16
th teeth and the
pedi said her 2 year molars are showing any signs of coming in so once she gets these bottom eye teeth in she should get a break of the teething until she is between 2-3, I can only hope as these two teeth have been giving her the hardest time out of all her teeth.
Other news is that we got a new vehicle to replace my Honda. Its a 98 Land Rover and I am in love with it! It has so much room! Izzy loves it too because since it sits so high she can see out better.
